MapiMailer Email Export Plugin for Lightroom PDF Print E-mail

The MapiMailer Export Plugin is a complete rewrite my popular MapiMailer export post-processing action for Windows users.  It solves the problem that prevents Windows users from exporting more than one image to their email application.

When you export using the MapiMailer plugin, it will attach as many images as you select to a new blank email, ready to be sent by your default Windows email program.

For users of the original MapiMailer, one of the immediate benifits of the new plugin is that it removes the old limitation of how many images could be attached to a single email.  This was caused by a restriction in the way that Lightroom invoked the original MapiMailer application.  You can also find some advice on migrating your old export presets to use the new plugin on my page of Tips for Users of the Old MapiMailer.

You can find detailed information on using the MapiMailer plugin here:  Using the New MapiMailer Plugin.  Please see the MapiMailer Plugin Announcement for more information and usage suggestions.

For help installing this, or any Lightroom Plugin, see my Installation Instructions.

This plugin is for Windows users only.

The software I provide on this site is free for everyone and can be used without any restrictions or limitations. Supporting these programs does however take time and energy. If you find this download useful, use the button on the left side of this page to make a secure donation using PayPal. A donation of any amount is generous and much appreciated.

Version History

20091027.3 A minor internal change which caused a conflict with the FTP sample plugin from the SDK. This did not affect the functionality of the plugin, but did prevent the FTP sample plugin and MapiMailer from being enabled at the same time.
20091019.2 Minor change... corrected the homepage URL in the Plug-in Manager.  It was pointing to the old MapiMailer post-processing action page.  This did not affect the functionality of the plugin.
20091008.1 Initial public release.

With the plug-in loaded,Outlook 2007 will not start, although I see confirmation that the single photo I selected is being prepared to be emailed. I am running the 32 bit version of Windows 7. Rebooting has been required to launch Outlook. What can I do to resolve this problem? Thanks.

I got the same problem on windows vista. Although I can see the mapimailer and outlook processes in the task manager, no window appears...

When I manually stop the outlook process, then the mapimailer window appears.

I have the sam problem I think. It goes as far as prepaaring the photos for emailing then stops. The email never shows up. Help

Karen,
I know this is not ideal, but some computers depending on what other software is installed may have difficulty starting Outlook automatically. I just had a lengthy dialog with Russ Valentine, a former Outlook MVP about this and it turns out that by simply having Outlook already running, this might solve your problem. This is only the case for some computers, not the majority. So try starting Outlook and then perform the export to see if that works. If not, let's solve this offline via email.
